Features

The Good Eats CSA Share is filled each week with veggies grown on our certified Organic veggie farm in Craftsbury, Vermont. From time to time, we have a crop failure. In those cases, we supplement your expected favorite veggies with certified Organic produce from other farmers - farmers supporting farmers in times of need.

Weekly Newsletter - Each week we send an email to all share members with a list of the items in the share so that folks can plan, and begin thinking about, what they get to cook up this week.  To help with that, we also provide great weekly recipes using the items in the share and tips about the veggies themselves.  The newsletter includes background on the local farmers whose cheeses or grains, beans, flour or meats might be part of a share.  And of course we include news from the farm. Every Friday, you'll get a "Sneak Peek" at what to expect in your share the following week.

Changes to Your Delivery or Travel Plans? – If you will be away some upcoming week and need to make changes to your share delivery, let us know the week before.  You can skip the week's delivery and receive a credit on your account to use toward your next share.  You can also elect to have your share donated to the Food Pantry.  Also, if you know you will be closer to another of our share sites one week, with advance notice you can request that your share be available at that site rather than the one you sign up for.

Splitting Shares - We offer some smaller sized shares but for those who want an even smaller amount of food, we encourage members who feel one share is too large for them to find someone to share with. Many members will share a veggie share and each get a Pete’s Pantry share for themselves in order to get a good mix of weekly veggies while also getting the breads, eggs, cheeses and other localvore goodies the Pantry share brings weekly.

Payment options – We offer different payment plants for each share type making it easy to spread the cost throughout the term of the share. We now offer payment by credit card, too!

Ordering in Bulk - We offer an online store with produce available to order in bulk! Not-quite-retail prices make purchasing our organic veggies (fresh and frozen) plus a variety of grains, beans, and VT99 pork products even more affordable. Place your order by Sunday night, pick it up with your CSA delivery that week!

What to do if the share has already started....   If you would like to purchase a share but the start date has passed,  get in touch. If there is still room in the share, we will pro-rate your share, adjusting for the weeks you have missed.

Nutrition is directly linked to the health and sustainability of any region. In Craftsbury, Vermont, Pete’s Greens has proven that organic farming can work year-round, offering fresh vegetables at any time of year. This approach helps communities become less dependent on imported produce and builds a stronger foundation for a future where quality food is part of the lifestyle, not the exception. However, modern life is full of contradictions. People strive for natural products and care about the well-being of their families, but at the same time, they often indulge in activities that carry certain risks. A clear example can be seen in the fact that interest in gambling continues to grow, despite all the warnings about the possible consequences. This topic is discussed in detail on the sitetorontomike.com, where it is discussed why online gambling continues to attract people’s attention despite its unsafety. On the one hand, the organic farm Pete’s Greens demonstrates how one can take a step towards health and harmony with nature. On the other hand, habits and temptations like gambling remind us that the choice is always ours. Ultimately, it is the mindfulness of our actions that shapes the future – whether it is the decision to eat more local vegetables or to be smart about our online entertainment.
