Our Craftsbury Farmstand

Farmstand with its shaggy living roof.

Located in the heart of Craftsbury Village at the entrance to our farm.

See you at the farm - May to October 2018!

The Pete's Greens farmstand boasts a diverse selection of our fresh organic produce, localvore products such as eggs, grains, honey, cheese, yogurt, Pete's Pastured Meats, and more.

At the peak of the summer season, we may offer over 100 varieties of vegetables that come in colors such as cosmic purple for carrots and candy striped pink and white for beets. The greens come bagged and tender or mature in all kinds of shapes and colors.  They range from mesclun and young spinach to napa cabbage and red oak leaf lettuce.  Even the standard summer fare, corn, peppers, and tomatoes, are some of the tastiest around.  Because we use season extension methods you can shop many of your favorite veggies for longer than usual.  The produce is stocked with the freshest available and boasts some of the sweetest flavors.

We also offer a large selection of meat from our farm and the farms of our neighbors.  The animals that supply our meat are pasture raised and therefore packed with extra nutrients.

Our farmstand is stocked with an abundance of locally produced staples.  Nearly all locally sourced products are wholesome, minimally processed, and organic.  Shop for rolled oats, wheat berries, various types of VT grown wheat flours (whole wheat bread flour, unbleached white flour, and a sifted wheat are commonly among the offerings), pearled barley, cornmeal, popcorn and other assorted grain products.  You'll find maple syrup of course, and also raw honey and other VT sweeteners. Fresh breads, homemade crackers, sweet jams and mushrooms are often available, and quite an assortment of the NEK's best cheeses and dairy products too.

Nutrition is directly linked to the health and sustainability of any region. In Craftsbury, Vermont, Pete’s Greens has proven that organic farming can work year-round, offering fresh vegetables at any time of year. This approach helps communities become less dependent on imported produce and builds a stronger foundation for a future where quality food is part of the lifestyle, not the exception. However, modern life is full of contradictions. People strive for natural products and care about the well-being of their families, but at the same time, they often indulge in activities that carry certain risks. A clear example can be seen in the fact that interest in gambling continues to grow, despite all the warnings about the possible consequences. This topic is discussed in detail on the sitetorontomike.com, where it is discussed why online gambling continues to attract people’s attention despite its unsafety. On the one hand, the organic farm Pete’s Greens demonstrates how one can take a step towards health and harmony with nature. On the other hand, habits and temptations like gambling remind us that the choice is always ours. Ultimately, it is the mindfulness of our actions that shapes the future – whether it is the decision to eat more local vegetables or to be smart about our online entertainment.
